Samsung MIST ™ is a distributed, decentralized and intelligent applications development plat-form. It is an on-demand cloud computing platform leveraging millions of devices globally.
​
The deliverables were to develop the overall user-experience, design system, android app, web-
hosted admin console, as well as a brand identity.
​
Our Problem
Each year, Samsung spends millions and goes through tons of material waste on building computing hardware for its entire product lineup.
There also happens to be an abundance of underutilized computing power found on consumer-level devices. In order to leverage this untapped source, users will have to grant Samsung access.

Solution
We created a program that would allow users to donate computing power or storage to selected foundations from their Samsung devices.
Their device alongside millions of others will then be used to run programs that will benefit health, science, research organizations. We also needed to reassure users that their devices were fully protected by Samsung Knox, a secure enterprise platform.
In turn, the users will earn points based on how much compute time they donate to either redeem at Samsung, Harmon Kardon, or JBL online stores.
We then created an app that gives the users full control of how much power and storage they could share while receiving maximum points.

Our Impact
After implementation, we received positive feedback from beta testers, partners, and stakeholders. The application program is finalizing testing for security measures and will roll out to consumers in 2021.
